COMPETENCE IS THE BASIS FOR SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF BIM TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
The article deals with features and requirements for the construction industry in the period
of information technologies. The advantages and disadvantages of BIM technology in comparison with
the traditional approach to design (CAD technology) on the example of CPE/CAP are considered. Pos!
sibilities of accelerated implementation of BIM in construction companies at the expense of training of
specialists of the company as well as graduates of higher educational establishments are determined.
The problems of preparation of competent specialists for work in the BIM environment are considered..
