INFORMATION MODELING OF ORGANIZATION AND TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS OF INSTRUMENTAL MEASUREMENTS IN THE CREATION AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDING OBJECTS
An important integral characteristic of the quality of the construction and operation of a
building is the length of its life cycle. Reliability and durability are ensured at all its stages by fulfilling
the requirements for: materials, design and space!planning solutions, calculation methods, design, exe!
cution of works, quality control. Providing long!term operation of the building is an urgent technical and
economic problem that requires objective information obtained by instrumental methods on the techni!
cal, technological and organizational parameters of buildings at all stages of their life cycle in order to
be able to make effective decisions on its extension. Therefore, the life cycle depends on the timely detec!
tion, correction and prediction of the development of defects and damages, which is impossible without
performing measuring work. The scientific problem is the necessity of theoretical substantiation of the
system of conceptual and theoretical and methodological bases of the extension of the service life, as
well as optimization of organizational, technological and technical and economic indicators of construc!
tion and operation of buildings and structures due to the use of effective methods of instrumental meas!
urements. Use of information technologies will help to solve this problem.
The principle of designing objects by creating their information model involves the preparation and com!
plex processing in the process of modeling complete architectural, technological, economic and other
data about the object with all the interconnections and dependencies, when the building and everything
that has to its relations, are considered as a single object. This concept has been called Building Infor!
mation Modeling or abbreviated BIM. Investigations performed by the authors at the State Scientific
Research Institute. V.S. Balitsky confirm the possibility of improving the efficiency of construction and
operation of buildings, structures and territory of development during their life cycle by forming orga!
nizational and technological solutions of instrumental measurements using construction!information
models and methods for the further development of this area of scientific and technical activity.
